| Blackburn Lions celebrated the 48th anniversary of the Club with a black tie dine and dance at Sparth House on 11th February 2010. Around 45 Lions and guests attended and enjoyed a splendid meal and dancing to entertainer Tony Mac.
Lion President Mike Bagnall proposed the toast to Lions Clubs International to which First Vice District Governor 105BN Lion David Winsland responded. First vice President Lion Ian Ainsworth proposed the toast to Ladies and Guests and the response was made by Simon Brierly Station manager of The Bee FM radio station.
The pictures show some of the guest enjoying the night during which three Melvin Jones Fellowships were awarded to long serving Blackburn Lions. The Melvin Jones Fellowship is the highest award within Lionism and the next article expands on the MJF Awards with photographs. |
